If you want to be heard, and make a useful contribution to the future of Amateur Radio, contact your Division Director and let them know what you want to see in the way of fair and equitable band planning. I'm sure Ria and the other directors would prefer that to angry messages.

Hi Phil,

There have been some listed frequencies for ARDOP:

3590  7045  10135  14066

The suggested frequency of 10.166 would be too high to be in band. I have mostly heard and worked stations on the 14066 frequency. There are also some stations operating as BBS which I have found very valuable because you can easily test the path at any time. I have been able to connect to KB8PMY-1 in Ohio on 7101. Even have had luck using the FEC mode. There is also a station closer to me, but of course too close most of the time since there would not be a NVIS path.

Come to think of it, do we have an available list of BBS stations using ARDOP?

73, Rick

Welcome and some comments

All,

Welcome to the new groups site. As you've noticed, I made a few changes. Instead of having totally separate groups for things related to ARDOP, they are now subgroups of this one. This group is also for notification only; any comments on the software releases should be made in the users group and discussion on the protocol and hardware should be in the developers group. I've also added an applications group for discussion of applications that can make use of ARDOP.

Re: Feature Suggestion

Understood. I have found it hard to find folks to test.

Re: Feature Suggestion

Lynn,

That can be added to the wiki in the users subgroup, which is where most of the discussions about it should take place. I would really like to limit use of this group to ARDOP software update notifications.
